weird loading issue, please help...

We launched this site a week ago and have been having some bizarre loading issues. Sometimes it loads right up, sometimes it stalls out, sometimes, not at all. If you could go to the site and let me know what happens when you load it, that would be fantastic.

safari OS 10.3.9 loads (eventually)

there's a preloader, but the problem seems not to be with loading, but when connecting to the server.

Loads fine on my IE.
Images take a couple of clicks occassionally. Also, photos take a little too long to load, no?
