Actually the fact that it was on Al Jeezera really shocked me. I would of thought they'd want to keep the older civilization somewhere on arab lands...or editorally slant it differently, bu tthey reported it pretty straight.

Kes - because the US media is so fucking slanted these days I don't trust any media. I don't even bother watching the news anymore and I'm a news junkie...

stem, it is pretty obvious that certain sectors in this world would be automatically distrustful of a news media from a demonised region, and a broadcaster that has consistently drawn criticism and unfounded accusations from a Washington based government objecting to the fact that it has dared to actually show human costs of the war in Iraq, and has had the connections to air video-tapes sent by various terrorists organisations. Al-jazeera is the bane of the american right.

Actually I'm pretty suprised by the fairness of Al Jeezera's editorial slant, especially say compared to something like Fox.
However Al Jeezera is fond of showing images of lots of blown up arab kids and women repeatedly.
Of course US news shows the war as a bunch of video game outtakes...
