I am about to write a letter to my boss before my yearly review pointing out everything I've done.

if you are a designer, make a show case... mini portolfio to show what u have done..
do it like a pitch..

make a 'burn the calf' portfolio with all your swedish crude-light of bbq photos and add a 42 pt helvetica lettering in the last page. "We grow the brand, boss".

its mendtory at some companies..
i had to do that on 6 month review..
even though they know what project you been on and stuff, it shows them that you are making progress and show what u have done. not just design final work but also ur process. tell them, in your opinion why it was a success and failure.
tell them what you have learned and who u have grown
