Who has them?
I am looking at a new car, have not had payments in like 6 years.... Should I do it, or keep driving the old junker?
- todelete__20
i had one. paid it off. 6 months later i have one again and i wish i didn't. 490 is a chunk of change. in another 3 months though i'll refinance through my bank and save myself 2%. from 7.1% down to 5.1%.

5 more months to go and it's all mine, then we'll probably get a second car.
: ( more of the same

You buy what you can afford. Taking a loan to buy a car is just.. crazy.

Buy your car. DO NOT LEASE.
Luckily, I have a friend who's Dad contracts with some local car dealers. I'm planning on a new Volvo, regularly 34k, bringing it down to a cool 26K.

i had a lease, just got out of it.
it cost me
do not ever lease

How much of a junker is it?
I'm getting rid of my heap as soon as a I can. Apparently the engine needs an overhaul. I just have to get a couple more months out of it. Then it's smashy, smashy time.

Damn thats whats up...almost 10k off the sticker price..wow
car payments sucks..im doin 240 on a 01 golf...first car payment ever...
def. buy and dont lease..what's the point of putting in money that you won't own in the future?

I have ZERO debt except my car. I just accepted what I could afford monthly/ I don't stress on the interest and all that after the fact.
I asked myself, is it worth it to you? It was, and so I'll live with it. Don't do it if it stresses you out.

I have a 1991 Acura integra GS.. Great car! but old... Little things don't work..
Last time I had to fix it, it was 900 $...
So, I don't know what to do...
this is the car I found that I like:

good advice Soler, it all depends on your situation, but look generally leasing is a rip-off
- erokcom0
I hear that!
- Soler0
That's right JazX. I am paying off a loan, not a lease.
Leasing is a rip-off, and rarely more than 50 - 100 dollars/mo. cheaper than buyng.
- HiHello0
I'm keeping the junker for a while
- erokcom0
What is it?

theres nothing wrong with leasing if you are smart about it and get a good deal. negotiating lease payments is easier than purchase price. especiall if you have a couple dealers bidding.
a car is a terrible investment. leasing is renting, which is somethimes smarter....

leasing = no equity
+ i got hammered on mileage overages. prolly the biggest mistake i ever made
- brandelec0
there's no equity in leasing
i don't understand why people will lease
- kld0
leasing only works if you're a high roller with deep pockets and want to upgrade every X years.
- Mimio0
There's not much equity in buying either. The car is worth half of what you paid in four to five years.
- brandelec0
its worth something
you have zero when you lease in four, five years
