Dear Agency People:
How long are you generally given for a project such as website, stationery, Tri-fold, etc... and how many projects do you handle at once.
Also what do you generally charge for each of those projects, is it fixed price? hourly?

how long varies as much as the projects vary as well as how big the project is.
handling / handled from 1 to 7, also depends a lot on the projects. some need more focus / attention than others.

I do between 1 and 100,000 projects at a time.
They take between 1 and 100,000 hours each.
I charge between $1 and $100,000 for each of them.
Bit of a big question.

Yeah I know it's a vague question.
How about, based on your past experience on what you would consider an average of the design work you've done,
Who much time would you spend on your basic:
Tri-Fold
Stationery (letterhead, Busines Card and envelope)
Website (for design of front page and basic outline of inside page)
4 page brochureand how much would your company charge for the afformentioned.
The reason I'm asking is I think I work somewhere that charge too little and gives me too much
but I could be wrong

its job by job. the price depends on what the client will pay. how complex it is. we are a new company so a lot of early stuff was done quite cheap. now we can charge more. There is no set price for anything.
Even the freelance work I do varies widely. I have just charged a big name client £600 for setting up 3 stickers to be printed (they can afford it).
That would also get a small business a 10 page flash site if I liked them and thats all they could afford.

I understand that price varies according to the client, but as a freelancer I had a basic price I would add or subtract from, mainly what I would do is look in the Etchical pricing and guidelines book and then take a percent off of that and tell the client I charge X% less than an agency, but I've never really known what an agency charged or how long a designer would be allowed to work on a project, So I'm just trying to get some clarification for my own sanity

if your looking for "average rate" cards there are some posted around the interwebs. search ggole and I'm sure you find the results of one servey or another.

Thanks for that link and Ill look around online for rate cards, I've noticed most reputable firms don't really post pricing since it does vary so much from client to client,
but everyone has a general number they work from. Also about the time issue, a lot of it is how my job compares to others, For trifolds do you get a day? a week? etc
