Of the four different printeres I use we I tend to stay with the 60-40-40-100 unless when the printer advises otherwise due to a paper with a laid texture or a high rag. Also You can tailor the tint of the black to the color scheme used so you wont have a red color scheme and a blueish tinted rich black.
I would just ask the printer for their specs.

Thank you stem! Its as easy as calling your printer. Each printer had different equipment, therefore, each printer has their own specs to go with. I have done work designing ads for use in publications, and I DID call each production manager at each mag for the specs for their mag. Just something you have to do., Would you rather tweak the colors in your artwork, or have them do it for you? Just call 'em!
