I love it when people say that 'they don't care what people think' and then go on to explain and re-explain their side over and over...
Best of all, after they proclaim how much they don't care to hear another opinion and after they keep posting their own opinion [over and over] they quit so that they can preserve 'i had the last word status' and they attack the board in general for being losers.

you're right, there's no ownseship for style, HOWEVER, you can't just "borrow" another famous designer's design and make it worst, or not credit for it.
clearly, it's not only the site, but some of the work i.e. the link i posted before, is ripped off YWFT and LIKDUP.
AND the fucker got mentionned honourably on may 1st.
tell me, you don't see a problem with this?
i take design very serisouly, and to see an ass like that treat our craft with such disrespect, and come on here screaming like a 4 year old girl doesn't make things any better.

should we sponsor this behaviour? because i have no problem standing on someone's shoulders and learning from their achievments, and i encourage that very mcuh, but straight out copying and gaing recongnition for the work of others is just unproffessional ethics.

I completely understand. After looking deeper into his site, I see what you mean. Even his logo samples look exactly like Folkert's.
The thing is, you can only control what you do. I'd rather focus all my energy into creating something awesome for myself or clients. Don't waste time on phonies!

Agreed. However, if someone blatantly ripped off you friend or associate, wouldn't you feel the need to speak out of respect and voice your opinion?

also that site that allegedly ripped off superfamous is lame to rip on, if it were more stylized like jacking a raushcenberg aesthetic fine, but its simple ass layout. get off it
