manually ejecting cds on powerbook

apparently if you hold down the mouse button on startup it should eject any disc

Insert 2 credit cards (Visa Gold is better!) into your drive around your CD to take it out.

i couldnt do it. i had to take it in for service to take it out. its a common defect in PB.
the last time i had it stuck i yanked it out plastic stuff came out with it and had to replace my cd rom.

help. a cd is stuck in my powerbook cd drive and i cant eject it.
i tried pressing option while booting but that didn't help.
isn't there suppose to be a hole where i can stick a paperclip through to manually eject it??
help.
