dunno. I've heard some good and bad stories. I have a friend that got his athritist treated there. He feels great and only visit him once a year instead of taking pills or long therapy. But I know a friend who had to stop other Accupucturist cuz he was putting a spell on him!?!?!? It seems intruiging but something I probably won't want to mess with.

I did it several times. I stopped going when the lady left a needle on my chest, but it was somewhat effective.

I said I wouldn't post for a week but I'll make an exception:
My girl does it, for a living. She's a physiotherapist so it's a small part of her routine.
So I've tried it a couple of times, but only in the hand and arm ('cause I don't like needles). However, she has done it on a lot of my friends and they all said it felt good or helped whatever problem they had. And yes, I'm still talking about needles.Oh, and the pro's double check for left behind needles.
Go for it!

last time i went to some new guy.
he asked me to take off my shirt and stand in front of this cannon looking thing that read "ACU-BOOM 4000"
i close my eyes and BOOM.... i got 4000 needles stickin out of my chest.
fuckin a i felt like a million bucks.

i always wanted to try this. my manager told me there's a really good place near my apartment.
it's $85/hr though... i think i'd rather get a massage.

i went to someone in ny and i didn't notice any difference- i was having weird vague symptoms and just knew that something wasn't right. then i went to someone in kc who was an acupuncturist and a chiropractor. she was amazing. she did this soft tissue manipulation on me and i felt great afterwards. it gets your lymphatic system going. so I guess you need to find what works for you.
There is a great book on different conditions and things to do for it called
Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Philip Balch. In a way I hate doctors b/c they just want to give you medication and tests but I think that really you know your body best and you need to listen to it.
- Tara0
ha! and it doesnt feel nearly as good as a massage. and i don't mind needles

salisae's dad helped cure her mother of cancer with it, if I'm not mistaken
- _salisae_0

i highly recommend the acupuncture method

i like massage. i can use one right now. but at this time, most of the places will be too sketchy. i think it's better to go to sleep. i need to make an appointment with my massue... she put me sleep in 10min. then when i wake up, i am naked and i am feeling all good. so who cares!

well - this guy i found is a specialist in what i have, and hes also a "regular" doctor and he is also covered by my health insurance..
i figure it cant hurt to try because nothing "regular" docs have been doing to treat me have worked for the last 7 years!
