I have like 6 ties, none of which I payed for. I have only worn one on one occasion and that was at a funeral. Ties are not functional and are way too expensive. I'd rather blow $110 on a bar tab. At least that's fun...

for the most part, these ties aren't targeted to people like ''you.'' I believe the goal is to sell these in upperclass boutiques, the business model they have is stellar, they'll be offer more premium style goods, and the qauilty of them is probally better then what you would get from prada/armani.

I wore a tie to my first day of my first design job. This was back in the day when galleys of type were pasted up with hot wax....anyway I leaned over to pass the galley through the steaming hot wax rollers..and for fuc*s sake the tie gets sucked in to the rollers...there I am, face inching closer to the freaking rollers when I finnaly yank the plug out of the wall. Never have worn a tie to work again. True story.
