I had a talk with the lovely eleanor, and i've put my sights on an analogue system. have not yet acquired a camera, waiting to see how much my internal flights and other expenses are gonna add up to first.

i was reading up on slide film and it's kinda scary. putting them in the fridge, and like, the different gels they use and different tonal range for different films.
best way to learn is in the field i guess.

thats my worry moth, especially since i'm gonna be there over 6 weeks. I'll prolly have to post the film back to Blighty, in particular to keep them out of the hands of the Indian army when i cross into Kashmir *gulp
but yeah, damn right it's gonna be a project. Otherwise it'll be a pointless exercise confined to fantasy memories and "when i was in..." conversations. :P

yeah, but i want the photo's for print. and to get big enough pixelage for that, as well as fully manual aperture, shutter speed et. etc., the dollars are spreading beyond my £330 budget.

Might I recommened my camera?
Olympus OM10. You can pick one up for around £160 with a standard lens, and probably get a another one or two lens with your remaining cash.
