Ok, im loading an swf into a movieclip in my main swf from a subfolder. From that swf im accessing a php file that returns an XML. Now, when i run it on my server locally, and even when i access my outside server, it works fine. When i upload it however, it refuses to load the XML files IN HALF OF IT even though it all uses the same format. The php part works fine, and i tried relative and full paths acessing it from flash, and it just wont work. Is it cause it's in a subfoler? I dont know! I dont know! It makesa no sense! Help!

try it without the subfolder.

i would, only it has to be in that subfolder, and its a pain to change, cause it loads them dynamically from a database. so id rather get it to work how it should.

can't the main swf be in the subfolder also?
- toastie0
no. there are many subfolders. But the weird thing is that it works in some parts of that file. Sometimes even in the same functions. it makes no sense. and i cant debug it when its online, right?

yeah that blows. you may have to wait until more peeps come online for help. keep bumping it.

U using relative or absoulte paths?
- toastie0
i tried both, it dont work. i even put a copy of the php into the subfolder.

Have you allowed access from the domain in the crossdomain policy file?

Gah!! I solved it. Thank you for your spot-on suggestions. Though the problem was something else. Apparently, when you use Flash components that rely on other components, they have to be also loaded into the library of the movie that loads the swf. And they cant be much different either (which was my problem). I ended up just dragging the whole UI Component folder from one flash file into the other.
