I read somewhere that a lot of powerbooks sold at the end of last year and beginning of this year had problems and that you can swap them at apple, many of them overheat and there's even risk of fire! It's the koreans fault because it was produced there! Right. I bought a powerbook 2 years ago and it had to be replaced, it just didn't work at all. I thought I was unlucky but then I met some 4 people whop had similar problems. Very unslick of apple.
You should replace it if you can. You're entitled to grade A products, if you're paying the price...

When I wrote "I bought a powerbook and it just didnt work at all" I meant "it" the battery, oops.
Anyway, swap it asap.

My powerbook is rarely at 100%, it usually fluctuates between 97-99% I'm use to things going wrong on my mac. My pc was so much more efficient.

its only an approximation i would not worry about it, its not very accurate at all.

97, 98, 100... no problem. If it's not overheating it's ok I guess. Mine is often at 98 or 99 and I had no problems with that.
just be aware that it's not unusual for powerbooks to have battery problems and that apple replaces them.
