...you estimate it cost to make this site:
http://www3.us.porsche.com/cayma…Including the 3D work.
Any ideas?

I'd do it for one of those cars.

5 figures.
- slappy0
about the same as the car itself probebly... swaparoo?
- airey0
does it take ages for anyone else to load the so-called 'enhanced version'?

15K plus

I would have thought more like 100k, no?
Those 3D transitions must have cost a lot.?
- ctrlRmB0

(May 31 05, 22:57)I thought the 3d was pretty piss poor to be honest. You could nock up a car (given that porsche would have been able to supply the model) going through a tunnel with a few camera moves in an afternoon.

skt, fancy nocking up a car with full 3D transitions across 5 views for me in an afternoon then, obviously for the price of an afternoon of your time?

(Jun 1 05, 01:53)Did you read the bit about porche supplying the model? Other than that, its a repeatiung tunnel a bit of lighting and a few keyframes on a camera.
You want a 911 (I have that model already) doing the same thing I'll do you one for £500 no problem.
- kelpie0
do me one and I'll send you a spliff. That's all I'm paying for your shitty 3D 911 skt, how'd'ya like them apples?
- kelpie0
I mean; how dare you...
- skt0
chew ma root kelpie ya wee bam. don't want none eh yer shitey soapbar.
pffft.
- chossy0
skt is correct if you have the model then you can fire it off in no time, we quite often have a 3D guy doing stuff sitting next to me in the suite as and when the client requires it, then rendering off the sequence it takes him little time, mind you he is pretty good, he did stuff for the mummy and womb raid... no tomb raider.

that's finest Paisley slate to you, ya heider ;)
