i know there is a way to do this:
if you have a few paths between anchor points, is there a way to make them all the same equal increments? I hope I am wording this right... thanks!

do you mean align distribute objects ?
- Beech0
Yeah. but I don't think that works on points, only objects.
- Hym0
you can distribute by object center and you can change the object center by grouping the object with a bigger object that has it's center on the anchor you want.

say you had to make a simple heartbeat line. between each pulse, there is a straight horizontal line. I need to make each of those horizontal lines the same space, so one is not longer or shorter than the other.

so you make one line with attached pulse, move/copy it however many times you need it (repeat transform) and join the open endpoints. No?

ahhhh yes.. that worked. And I did that for a previous project...
*smacks forehead while saying, "doh!"
thanks Greedo

but isn't there a command or another way to do that? I thought there was..

you can select all the vertical lines, then click on the "horizontal distribute space" button in the align palette. (its the 2 rectangles w/ parallel lines between em)

draw a line the length that you desire. then go object>path>add anchor point. Repeat.
