ummm, i only got a laptop to view said DVDs on an all.
- paraselene0
;)
my laptop died.
*moment of silence
and i rilly, rilly hate watching movies on laptops, anyway. i'll bring them over to yours next time my family sends me discs (they can't get that zone thing thru their heads)!
but, as for errol morris, absolutely brilliant. i think that fast, cheap might be my favourite. i love the vignette-y feel of that one and the notion of pathologies as connective tissue of a narrative, so i reckon i'd really enjoy first person (i've not seen any of them yet -- are they in rotation on any channel here?)

soz ell', thought you had a pc at your gaff.
you can always come over mine, and we'll watch all yer yank discs with a bowl of pop corn ;)
*thinks of the words yank discs...
- paraselene0
yes, that's exactly what i mean. i already spend enough time at work without having to come in even yet still more often to watch my yank discs.
- Kes0
you mean a computer with a dvd player?
- paraselene0
i'd buy it if it wasn't only zone 1...
or if i had one of those schmancy machines that plays dvds from all zones...

his commercials are better than most films

i saw the Thin Blue Line
it changed the way documentaries are made and how reconstruction is now an everyday thing on tv and that.
Oh and he gets people to talk directly into the camera when being interviewed

I'm thinking of buying the "First Person" box set. I'm wondering what people feel about it.
