Hello i have just started redoing one of my friends sites, as i feel it is boring and dull now ( i made it when i started out last year, learning css.)
I have started playing around with an idea for a new look for the site. It is a pretty small site, i.e one page...
I realise it is not much to go on, one image but i thought i would ask if any one had opinions on it?... too cliched?

why not ask your friends opinion ? at least in such an early state.
Uncut.. and you show an image of a cut image of a texture of a cut piece of stone, now the scissors makes sense
but tilted alignment is not bad, the te contrast between opaque box and texture works

heh i must be running low on cycles, didn't even notice it said Unncut instead of Uncut
if the theme is being unusual, seeking contradictions then it makes kinda sense.

He is pretty much ok with what ever i do as long as it looks good.... and does it's job... the perfect client :D

- :D i'll be honest i hadn;t really thought about thaat as the theme but i do kinda like it, thanks... yeah i know, crap designer missing the obvious idea... whoops
You have given me an idea. I might try and see if i can link the dotted line with the angled cuts so it relates better.
