I will be moving to Tempe Arizona next month and I was just wondering what the art and design scene was like out there and if there is any good design firm or companies from there.
Thanks,
brandon

i'm sure lifeinbinary/lifeinsodium and cosmo will talk to you if you give them a lift to the NIN concert. Ask PonyBoy, too.

welcome to the dark side. where are moving from?
the "scene" is not as big as say california or new york but there is something going on alright.
tempe is a nice place. lots of college hotties.

I'm moving from Omaha Nebraska. But I am hoping that moving up there will help me meet more people that do the stuff i do so that I can start up a design firm or get some help with the work i am doing right now.

phoenix is super cheap!
come one, come all!
the scene is getting bigger. but it is kind of stupid because it is mostly controlled by non collectors/young people who think art is the new pink (people who don't buy shit) but it's changing, but during summer it's super slow because all the snowbirds went back home! but from what i hear from gallery owners, it doesn't affect sales too much, it just affects traffic to galleries.
you can get gallery/studio space here for super cheap right now and everybody is opening up some shit. it's weird times. i wonder what it will be like in a couple years.

I just moved to Phoenix a few weeks ago and now I'm in the process of looking for a place to call home.
Any suggestions on what areas are affordable? Tempe seemed like the nicest area but I wanted to be near ASU and the prices are way to high. Are there any other areas worth checking out?
- lifeinbinary0
how do you like it so far?
there are several places near ASU and its a decent part of town. what is your budget?
these are quite nice and near ASU but not real cheap:
