I have been looking for something similar to blurry/distorted effect.
It needs to be font and not an effect as it is for dynamic text.
Anyone know of something?

I'd do it in photoshop - it's the only way you will achieve a fine blend.

ideally I would - but I want to apply it to dynamic type on flash, so can't photoshop it :(
