Is there a way to create a hybrid of Tattoo and LCD technology?
Animated, or changeable tatoo's that work similar to an LCD but using skin cells would be brilliant. So if your tired of your tat, u can design a new one or switch it, or turn it off all together.

tattoo removal should also be done in a traditional way. by knife or acid.

btw there's this tattoo shop in rotterdam, next to the studio is a tattoo removal studio. owned by the same guy. pretty smart ey.

This is the same technology they use for engraving...
However, like engraving, there is no 'undo' feature!!!
Clever though

no - way, that dudes got problems.
He's like doing test squiggles on his arm? whats wrong with him?I meant something that could interact with skin cells, giving them color states like pixels have.
On a simpler level, at least an on/off state, black or clear.
this way you could have tattoos that are animated, can change, dont damage or scar the skin, and can be switched off if need be.
Technology is headed towards paper thin screens, using OLED's I think.
Maybe something similar could be applied to my idea?

not a bad idea rando. on nanotechnology level you could build a diode small enough that can change color. imagine the marketing possibilites, for instance, the employees at mcdonalds could have their offers shown on their heads and arms etc. or the practical implementation, you don't need to shout when you want to order something to drink at a club w/ loud music, just show your forehead which says: 5 beers please! oh the endless possibilities.

Rando - octopus can do this sort of thing can't they?
You don't see them with crappy Taz pictures on their skin though...

you wouldent need that at a bar or McDonalds, my chipcasting service takes care if that.
I'm talking about the self-expression aspect that tattoos offer.
But I guess I can see advertisers doing something stupid with it, paying someone to walk around painted like a pepsi can or something.

Did somebody say McDonalds?
