Why is getting out of bed always a miserable experience? I mean, wtf? Isn't sleeping supposed to make you feel good when you wake up? That's it. I'm done wasting my tme on sleep. Time for an alternative... whatever the hell that would be.

just do lots and lots of cocaine. that should cure the sleep thing...for a few days anyways. then when you wake up from your cocaine binge you should feel rested.

depends on what you have to wake up for and who's next to you

ohh nooooooooo, that no sleep cocaine feeling is by far the worst feeling ever. I've had friends die and felt better

that's cos like your body needs time to adjust to being awake. Instead you have to wrench it out of sleep mode in your rush to eat your breakfast and rush to work. If you went to sleep earier, then you could have an extra our to prepare your body to get outta bed.

mornings suck ass bigtime, no mistake. Mornings/no sleep + drugs is even worse...sat on a bus or train praying to high heaven that things will look 'normal' by the time you get to the office, then in an instant being there, walking in and someone who knows you well enough to know says 'oh my god!' when they see your eyes, and you sit paranoidly behind your screen with messed up hair trying to time your 'illness excuse' and leaving. Nasty.
Saying that, the hardest thing to do is to stay in bed and stay awake. Just sit up as soon as you wake up - it makes your heart pump a little bit faster and gets some oxygen to your brain. Try to set aside at least 15 minutes that's your 'you' time, sit outside, smoke, drink coffee, before you do anything else. Always do this and your brain doesnt mind the morning so much, as it knows theres going to be a stressless transition into the day - however stressful that may be.
Oh - and to do this, you have to be up earlier than your kids :)

It depends on what sleep cycle you woke up in.

In order to wake up feeling awake, your sleep patterns need to be consistent. Fall asleep and wake up at the same time everyday, including the weekends.
