i'm not normally the type to moan about daft client direction, i mean we all experience it all the time and deal with it. BUT, i have just been working on an interactive info-graphic type diagram, which illustrates a cyclical process. anywho, without going into too much detail, i have basically been asked to redo it because...
"arrrows are clichéd"
jesus i was speechless. so i need to come up with a "more dynamic" way of indicating direction as simply as possible. God help us all.

"arrrows are clichéd"
lol, they have a point.
u should replace the arrows with lions, crests, and skulls... hand it back for review and see what they say.

that's a classic, I think I've had the same myself. Try a pointer instead - it's like an arrow, but without the straight bit at the end ;) oh lordy lordy, that's daft as a brush...

What do they know?
If they're designers then why don't they do it themselves...

You could ask them to point you in the right direction.
