intel putting chips in macs..wow..my theory that its all the same under the hood is even more realistic..
thoughts?

not exactly true.
apple bases their own Macintosh OS around a list of already-known hardware specs. this makes it more efficient.
pc's are different as you can build your own and windows has to be able to work with any spec combination.
but in a sense, yes, it's all just hard drives, processors, memory and a mobo.

intel schmintel! as long as the box does what i want i don't really care what's under the hood. it can be a bunch of midgets for all i care.

Jobs has already said that OSX would be rater easy to port to X86. He's set on shipping it only with Mac hardware tho.
As for intel making the chips, it still ownt be a PC compatible one I'm sure.
it's like IBM cranking out chips for all the new consoles... still different chips.
