So I just upgraded to tiger last weekend and now can't open Pro Tools 6.4.
People are telling me that they don't have an update yet at Digi, so I have to go back to panther.
Anyone else have to deal with this?

easy with the caps.
Pro Tools is buggy as hell imo. You need to contact their lame *sses and ask them to send you a patch

Look into switching to a PC.
Protools and Protools LE both run perfectly along with affordable hardware from Digidesign.
With the money you will save by buying a PC, you can invest in more music equiptment, in stocks, or your childs education.

my bad with the caps, too early and too much tequila last night.

I am not even going to respond to that. But I guess I just did...

not trying to hijsck the thread, but I have a digi 001 and the card which used to be installed on a Mac, will that same card go into the back of a PC?
- randoman0
Now your talking radar. I'm pretty sure it should, it's a PCI right? Check Digi's site and see you can download PC drivers.

if I am not mistaken, I think it can. Check out the digi site, there is a pretty good database for support issues

Consider switching to Digital Perrformer. They posted a link to their Tiger update the same day Tiger went on sale. DP works seamlessly with Tiger.

Better than Pro tools, and DP, I would reccomend the new Logic.
On the other hand, that is why I always say, always WAIT for doing heavy upgrades, wait untill you think you are ready.. ten WAIT some more..
There is 100000 fools installing the latest version of upgrades, the day of release, let them be your beta testers, ask them what went wrong,
is it really worth the upgrade, how would that benefit you in your work area.. etc..the best solution is, format and reinstall, keep tiger saved until it works properly with your configuration.
peace

I have to stick with ProTools, industry standard. I know there are others but I trade files and collaborate with people who exclusively use PT.

Never upgrage the OS unless you're sure that PT will work with the new one.
ProTools has always been funny. I held back on upgrading to OS X untill I knew that PT worked flawlessly in OS 9 mode.
Sorry you had to find out this way.

I have never gone backwards before. Can i just re-install jaguar withou having to reformat and install all my programs again?
