Clean Install

  My friend just came over with a used iBook and wants to format it make it restore back to factory settings. Is there an easy way to do this? OSX 10.2

  stick a Mac OSX cd in the slot, boot holding "C", zero and partition the drive (if you want to) with Disk Utility (on the CD), and reinstall OSX fresh.

  make sense? pretty easy. always zero a drive for a fresh install. peace of mind is worth the wait.
