wow, is it bulletproof?
- piperboytoy0
i don't know but they say you can run it over with a truck and it won't damage your powerbook. I wonder what happens if it's dropped.

Possibly the biggest waste of 200 dollars you will ever spend.
That's not speaking from experience

you think so? I'm just paranoid because I dropped my brand new 15" powerbook not too long ago and ended up buying another one. Now I want something that can protect it.

looks pretty good. i'd wager that there's a slightly less fancy one for a more reasonable price

I suppose, but spending over $4000 to buy the powerbook, $250 for a protective case isn't all that bad. right?
I've been staring at that pic for months thinking whether I should buy it or not.

I was gonna say how many people drop their powerbook but then...
IMO if you drop that case with your mac in it it will still give it a massive shock, possible enough to damage the internals.
I would buy a soft padded case for a fraction of the price and insure it if your that worried.

It might be overkill for most people, but I use a custom Pelican case for the powerbook.

sweet, now i can be a GAY art fag...

I'm sure its a wonderful bag and its probably great, but I don't like the idea of parading your Powerbook in a fancy bag like that.

i wrap mine in a spiderman beach towel
don't be jealous

Hm. Heavy duty. It adds weieght to the idea of the Powerbook being so thin and easy to transport.
It looks like it will do the job, however, I don't know if I would invest in one.
If you decide to go the other way and purchase a soft padded case for your book, look at http://www.spireusa.com.
I use a sleve myself; just a soft padded slip in case.

That case will ONLY protect your powerbook, from COSMETIC damge.
Laptop computers have internal mechanism that are sensible to shocks, whether the laptop has outside protection or not.
If you REALLY want to spend some bucks get a pelican case. used by photographers and military all over the world.
but even with that, if you drop it, you are more lilely to get it damaged.

seriously, though, i'd look into brenthaven.
they have a shoulder bag that comes with a padded sleeve and the sleeve is reinforced with cardboard or flixible plastic or something to help absorb shock
also, they are made for powebooks, so it's a snug fit.
