Really. All the old '60's methods and symbols are so quaint and useless these days - 20,000 people show up aomewhere and it doesn't even rate on the news. How does one design a modern and effective protest style.

use Sand or Comic Sans. The horridness of the fonts will make your victims do anything you ask, just so they don't ever have to see the horridness of the fonts again.
