Fascinating, the power of this American Idol. I am a huge fan of the metal of the 80's which I grew up on. One of my fav bands of the day was Badlands, (featuring the great Ray Gillian (RIP) and former Ozzy stringer Jake E. Lee) who basically have been residing in the cutout bin at Walmart for a decade. Two weeks ago you could grab their used cd's on Amazon for about $1.50.
So American Idol "rocker" Bo Bice does a decent version of a Badlands tune on AI two days ago and I bounce over to Amazon and the used Badlands CD is now selling for $75. I couldn't give this album away a week ago.

Its Randy Jacksons forked devil hand gestures, he's hypnotising the masses into a buying frenzy.
I watched Bo Bice do the homecoming concert, they gave him the key to the city... the townspeople threw themselves at this guys feet. I thought the mayor was about to relinquish his rulership to Bo. That dude is hooked up.
