-going fishing
i was at a restaraunt a few weeks ago with a bud and we were sitting next to these two girls. the one i was next to had already been through a couple of drinks so she was an easy mark.-fish sees bait
i overheard her mention the city she lives in, so that was my que. i looked over at her long enough to get her attention and laughed and shook my head.-fish circles bait
so when she laughingly asked "what?", i confidently, but politely proceeded to tell her why she needs to move out of the sticks and spend more time in the city where i live.-fish nibbles at bait.
we went back and forth comparing and contrasting our ways of living and lifestyles. pretty soon she had totally forgotten her friend. (oops!)
eventually, my friend took the trashy seconds and moved in on her friend. a group chat proceeded and it was smooth sailing.-fish bites.
of course, i didn't want the energy to die, so we ducked out early and just before i conveniently suggest that i should get her number so i can show her the city. While looking for a paper to write her number on she says, "oh, so you're not going to put my number in your phone with the rest of your contacts?" (tug, tug)-fish is hooked.
so a week later i call - it's time to give her a little attention. she's studying for exams, we make small talk, i give her my # and my job is done.-catch and release?
so far she's called me three times since then. i suppose i need to call her back wouldn't you think? i've got another fish in the boat right now though..hehe....

you must be really smooth, because that's a pretty lame pick up line
- SteveJobs0
i don't use 'pick up lines' and i'm not smooth. i guess i'm just really hot... :(
- tkmeister0
just keep your mouth shut and look pretty.
