get that surfboard that has a computer in it. you know you can surf the web and surf at the same time.

kld, funny you should say that. a lot of times I'll think the same thing, same with friends of mine.
One day you just snap out of it for a second and remember all the things in life before the computer revolution occured. And your like "Sh*t I spend 20 hours staring into a screen everyday? What the fu*k is going on?!" Then it quickly subsides and a warm rush comes over the body and mind "mmmm.... where would we be if it weren't for technology...".
It's a call for balance I think, or some sort of compu-crisis realization.

amen kld, randoman.
who posts a lot?
- kld0
Balance, something I've never been able to do, I used to surf all the time now I work all the time. It would be great if I could do both but as you just saw with kbags you go out to the beach after deciding to do something fun and the wind is up. You missed out on the session and you didn't get your work done. Very frustrating!

Yeah, have always had troble with balance myself, although from time to time it will tip in the other direction (less computer more activity).
Think the key is forcing yourself frm the computer when it's not work related. And discovering that work is one this but being on the computer otherwise (like this) is something esle.
As an experiment, try clocking all the time you spend on the computer doing non-work related things (like posting here, etc.). check it at the end of the week and realize what other things the time could be spent on.

Good idea but I'm usually working on something work related when I'm here so this is really my break time( i should go outside but the humor and insight here is what gets me through the day)
