the placement of that banner is a compositional. it's also non standard size yeah?
the 2nd example is better than the 1st.
not crazy about the design, but that's a personal taste thing.

Humm looks very serious. Reminds me of news site. Not very teen. I would change the colour pallet and make it less copy heavy. Would be helpful to know what kind of company it is.

don't like it, not pop-star enough for teens, unless you toned it down on purpose

wayyyy too much copy for the front page of the teen site. kids dont want to read, they want to look at pictures.
actually, the same still goes for me, but whatever.

Its for teh Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The header is half-a**ed until i get the layout design down. It will be anchor the teen appeal of the page. The main color will change with each section. BUt yes i want the truth..always want the truth.

Sorry. Its not the front page. I should have mentioned that. There is little to no copy on the front page.
