Hey NT crew - I could really use some advice...
I have just been asked to write a 1 page proposal on what a production manager for a 4 man marketing production teams responsibilities should be. so far i have isolated four key areas:
- day to day team management
- Client Liaison (all our clients are in the same office as us, we are an internal team)
- Financial management ie making sure jobs get paid for etc
- Event management (we go to 2 IT trade shows a year)If i get this job it's a big step up for me. I have 4 years experience as a writer and quark production monkey. Any advice on Prodution management of just things I could say in general would me muchly appreciated. thx.

Sorry BonSeff, i don't quite get you. Do you mean take resposibility for scheduling the teams time? If so, yes, you are right, cheers =)

maybe say something about growth and forcasting the schedule of upcoming jobs...

Yeah, I'll touch on that, thanks. The role is a little odd, as we have a dedicated admin assistant who handles all of the scheduling but has no management responsibility.
