unfit where are you man... heh

could be done via scripting, i suppose.
but how does that relate to usability?

can't you use JS to set a timer??
Don't know much JS but I imagine it should be possible to use a function to read system time on load, wait a specified amount of time and then load an SWF.....

if you were loading the rest of the page using flash than this is very easy.

could have a small holder movie whre the swf is to go that loads it

perhaps drop it inside a div..
then a onload script in the body tag. it does work with images.
try it.

You could have the flash in an iframe and use onload to change the content of the iframe when the rest has loaded. But iframes are frowned upon I think.

i mean, make the div visible only once the page is loaded (done loading the rest) = onload.
so by default it should be invisible.

I thought about making a blank swf and playing it for so many seconds..kinda like a timer..but then the user has to wait to see the movie clip, if they already have the page in cash.

Thanks for the quick responses. This is a corprate site so no iframes. I talked to the team just now and Im probaly going to stick it inside a div.
Thanks

just use javascript's LoadMovie in the onLoad event.

and it's called cache.
