Looking for some insight,
all kinds. I know you all here at nt don't hold back, and thats what I'm lookin for. This is the one a client picked. Also, if anyone has seen this somewhere else, or if it reminds you of something, lemme know!

I presented them with like 20 diferent comps, including a ruffed up version of that one, and they chose it at first. Unless your in PA, I don't know if its the same Daquila, thats their last name too... funny it it were a coink-a-dence tho..

Seems nice to me. Makes me think that the products are natural (from the color scheme and shape (leaf in the middle). Easy to remember.
I'm not aware of anything that resembles it. Although because of the simplicity, there may be somewhere.

I tried to incorporate 2 "d's" in the logo, because it's a mom and daughter owned studio, and both their names start with "D". The first one obviously the green, and the second one in white, using the green leafy middle as a bowel. When I explained that to them, they were like "awesome! double D'S!!!" and started laughing histericaly.

when i first saw it and then noticed it was for a hair place, i thought it'd be cool if the ascender was bigger and had like hair waves coming off it. you could apply this to the second d as well if you decide to add it.
i would look at the name of the place again. it's a hair coloro studio. think about that and try to incorporate both ideas into the logo with type.

the mark is way too huge. You couldn't reduce it for a business card, for example. design thetype too

feels a lot like the dreamweaver logo, as linked, but less classy.

i think it's solid. smart use of whitespace. you could scale it a bit though.
there's lots of things you can do with this shape.
go with it.
