Just quit the job today. On to new things. It feels good... real good.
Now to work like a madman to get stuff wrapped in my last 2 weeks, and then sitting by the pool and getting a tan.

I got something lined up, of course, on the D/L.
I also have a giant freelance project that's sucking the life out of me, but will net me some new toys.
I gotta wife and a baby on the way, can't be TOO carefree, but nothing is better than saying "yeah, i think i'm leaving"

when i quit yo, it was the nicest day of the year weather wise in toronto. apr 4, 2005.
worked on my portfolio that day. had a coffee. i don't drink coffee really.
i took the day after off. cause the weather was too nice. went for a walk. and then reality set in.
i don't have a nest egg. in fact, i'm as broke as can be. and so i was worried for about 2 days and then i had a moment of clarity.
and i started pitching hustling playing. calling up old clients, being creative with my mouth, saying wassup to strangers and strange girls.
so i've been outta work for less then 2 months. i've rallied up about $2K of client work. i'm still broke but yo. i'm happy.
worry, depression, or any negative thing be it attitude or environment, perceived or real will destroy your creativity. and my job was ass. i had nothing lined up. but i knew that my 9-5 was worse than falling flat on my face. and i'm not one to fall flat.
i had a quote stuck to my phone at work that helped me. "success is determined by your level of commitment." i was 1 foot out the door there, and then i realized that 2 feet out is better than 1 foot in...
