the "beeping/ chirping" problem has been an issue with some PSUs in G5s for well over a year now.. not a probleem caused by Tiger but it may have increased usage and brought on the noise.
go onto apple forums and search "chirp" under G5 threads. there's hundreds of complaints yet apple continues to ignore. you're best bet is to file for an official case# under applecare (no matter what the tech people try to tell you) and keep complaining.

Neuarmy -
I kicked it right below the CD drive door...but up and to the right of the power button...about 4 inches to be exact...I made sure and pulled out the iPod cable first thoguh cause that would have hurt..
oh...it didn't help matters at all though. Let me know if you come up with something better.
Your Pal,

When it thinks. G5. Give it 2 Asprin. It might have a headache.

The only noise it should make is the sound of the fan kicking in. Any HD sounds are bad. I'd back up your shit.
- gruntt0
you're right iDp. I'm sorry for insulting you.
word on the street is BBQ sauce is a nice fix. the thicker the better.
but for real... good luck. i hope your girl is ok.

oooh ok post inconsistency, that should be the harddrive running, i think why you didn't experience first is that the more you use it the more defragmented it get the more it needs to read/write. sort of. could be very off though.

Do you guys think I'm new? Like I'm going to hose this beautiful box down with WD40...I'm more of a lard in a tub kinda guy anyways...WD40 is for pussies.
- SteveJobs0
