really,
the fact that he plays awesomely doesn't necessarily mean he's a former known pianist. In that field people are easily recognize.
I'm betting it's just some guy wacked out for lack of recognition in some black collar job.

Stories like these make me cringe with anger. They aren't treating him correctly.
If they found him off the coast of Florida instead, he would have been on some morning shows, talk shows, Oprah, Dr.Phil, etc. He would have a nice donation fund going, probably some doners from some car companies. They would have sent him off on some dates on Letterman, got him into Carnagie hall for a sold out show, etc.
These Europeans are just showing freaky hostage like pictures of him and whatnot... the dude will never speak if you treat him like that.

if you ask me, he's crafted an amazing story for himself. kind of like joseph beuys's story being shot down from a luftwaffe plain and all.

I have a piano and an organ. I played for about 6 years before quitting (my teacher was boring....never bothered to get another one). I still remember lots of stuff...like the other day. But you definitely have to put everything you have into it when you're playing....practice makes perfect.
