...got rejected today from an agent I really wanted to work with.
Got the tortured writer blues. Totally predictable to feel this way but whatever the fuck ever, I feel like giving up. That's the bitch of writing fiction. Gives you carpal tunnel, insomnia, chronic credit card debt and a long sustained craving for alcohol, preferrably Jameson, on the rocks.
But I won't give up because I'm a writer.
Thaniks for listening.

sorry to hear man.
i was just checking reviews of new novels as i have been reading to much non-fiction, educative literature lately..
odd to see this thread when i returned to NT.
It's the whole writer story, you'll be nothing for years.. no income but spend insane amounts of time on writing, research, thought etc. and only the few get a big breaj that brings money, fame and the whole shiznit..

Yes, you will eventually get some sort of break.
And I think May16 should be officially called 'shit day to discover yourself'

Chin up. It sucks that the agent you want to work with did the rejecting, but have faith that you will find the agent that wants to work with you so badly, they go above and beyond the call of duty.
As a fellow writer, I know the feeling of "when will my break come?" But at least you have the courage to show your stuff. I can't say that...YET.
Best wishes,

Paramount and sincere apologies, tconn. Yet, at the same time as the situation is only temporary. Getting your material in to the right hands should be your next move. And, for that best wishes, and highest regards.

sorry to hear that. i am no writer but the being rejected with something that means a lot to us has happened to most of us.
hang in there and keep trying.
