jaline: r ur parents against u being a designer too :S.. coz mine are :( they think of it as some "weird" profession.. tease me about it... but i bought a book by Tom Peters (a biz guru.... my dads a biz grad)... and he talked about design for a chapter as a revolutionary force.. so that kinda convinced him.. but the situation was made worse when i got into Uni of Toronto for Computer Science..
after a yr now, my mom still asks if i want to quit design and go persue a degree in Comp Sci.. hehe.. shes super awesome tho... they make me strive to do better... one day i'll show them when ive my masters from MIT and giving a lecture at a design conference :)...

I wouldn't have a care in the world if I knew for sure that I'll be in 2nd year uni next year. I would be even more of a failure to my parents if I don't. I know it's not their problem really what I do with my life (I do normal things), but they still affect my life. The pretty much control stuff I do. My parents have lightened up to the idea of me becoming a designer, but that's even what I want to do with my life. I have no idea right now, and it sucks that everyone (especially my parents) expect me to know what I want to do with my life. God, I'm only 18!

V3, I'm in Mass Comm. right now. Not sure if I made it into 2nd year. And I'm thinking of switching into English for a year or so (if I have high enough marks). Geezus. I hate the marks criteria.
