Anyone have? I am looking for a decent drum sequencer for ALL types of music.
My friend swears by it , he mainly produces rap and R&B. Does it cover the spectrum of styles?

Friend and I have an early model. It's decent, pity we never get together anymore though. It can virtually do anything, true, but obviously, depends on what samples you are using. It is super for R&B and Hip-Hop/Trip-Hop.

jazx, does it hold its own for rock kits?

my roommate has the 1000, and all he makes is rock. It's very versatile, and can be applied to any type of music.

depends. we had it running a lot of electronica sounds, but yeah it does from what I remember. there are differerent kits for it and things you can import

nice, thanks guys

since it's hardware, you'll need to interface it with your computer if you plan on recording/sequencing anything. Unless of course you want to sequence back the beats for a live performance, either playing it or letting it be your drum percussion.
