I already have a diamond, but i'm looking for a setting. I've found the web to be less than helpful so far.
can you point me to some sites to look for a decent setting?
details:
princess cut (square)
1.5cttags: simple, elegant, solitare
here's one of the only decent ones i've seen...

congratulations!
I would suggest taking the diamond to a local 'familyl-style' jewler. Possibly someone who can make a custom settings. I would feel much safer knowing my stone is just as so and so shop and that you can walk it in - vs mailing and talking on the phone.

Congrats...
I got my lady her ring from here http://www.niessing.com/
NOt sure if you can use your own diamond... and coz of the size of the diamond might restrict what band you have... but they are cool as they are weirdly held by the tension of the band... they do white gold/ platinum etc... worth a try... when you order your ring, you get to choose a diamond and then a setting... so you may be able to do just one of them?

that should be Engage(d)_London :)

disregard my post... that was a bunch of Sunday morning babble!
but I still value the local shop over the big place.

Thanks for the responses... I've already bought the diamond (35% off of wholesale, i might add!)... and I'm just looking for the setting.
And I'm not actually looking to get the setting from any of these sites... The polisher i got the diamond from will cast any ring i find. Just deciding on the design.
Keep the links coming.

buying something that is supposedly for a lifetime (and at the cost!)- your better off walking into a place than ordering over the web.

ABSOLUTELY don't get the tiffany setting!! hahahaha You're trying to copy me :P
I just got engaged a couple weeks ago and I got her that platium setting. She absoletly loves it! Almost ever day she gets two or three compliments from patients at her office. I got an Asscher (square emerald cut) diamond.

ha, thanks for the responses...
for the record, i'm not going to buy the ring online... i'm just looking for unique and different designs to consider for the setting. then i'll have it cast by my jeweler.
and yes, i checked out the iosilver site... not going to do silver for a diamond ring.
and Clear... nice work. Why the asscher over the princess?
