Lian Li living on the image of a g5???
I have had my Lian Li for almost 4 years now, where was the G5 then? They have been making brushed aluminum cases for a long time.

because wood acts like an insulator, stupid to build a box out of something that doesnt emit heat.

hmm, with a cooling system that works perfectly the wood would keep outside heat from entering the case or not?

I seen people make them but I don't think they work too good. The aluminum is nice because aesthetically it looks good and aluminum disapates heat quickly.

Imo the new Imacs are a great design because the space of the computer occupies something that is necessary anyway, the monitor. In this case it's even smaller than the mini in most reguards becuase technically it's not there. (although upgrades are more difficult and once the system becomes obsolete your stuck with the monitor.
What design can you think of that would serve a dual purpose, ie. the physical case could in some way perform another use in addition to housing the innards of a computer.
Maybe a small, console-ish looking thing with a built in touch sensitive OLED or LCD could make a nice little info-center. Ie. it works off of some of the innards of the computer such as wifi connectivity to deliver weather, breaking news, clock, appointment reminders, system information. And the computer wouldent have to be on for this part to function.
Designwise it shouldent be so expensive for designers to implement with smallish LCD's being so cheap now.
Or just stick the case under the desk like someone said, no harm in doing that!
