we blew a main drive in a one of our audio production boxes once. 80GB of commercials, spots, bumbers, voice tracks, etc...all gone.

thanks thismanslife, but i allready tried about every last recovery program from download.com, and the good ones only let you save like 64kb and under files... which does me no good at all....... that is unless you buy the full VERSION

1. go out side. stretch. breathe. calm down. what's done is done, and you need to be calm and decide what to do with the present so you don't have to continue to scream in the future.
2. buy data recovery app if you can. this is the best way. outsourcing it will cost A LOT MORE.
2-b) if you can't do that, either ask a friend or setup a paypal account or do whatever you can do to obtain the cash to buy recovery app. PAY BACK LATER (this is important, you cannot just take things from people).
3 - once all data is recovered, come back to NT, re-read all the things people recommended in this thread. BACK UP.
4. stop cursing and screaming at people who are trying to help you. i have not seen any post in which you said "thanks for the suggestion" even if it's not workable solution for you. that isn't very nice.

positive, when windows was done installing, i checked my 2nd drive to make sure all my shit was there, and to my UTTER DISMAY everything was gone, and in its place, a 2nd WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM.... so basicly now i have 2 drives, and 2 windows OS's.....
