usrper, i've been thinking a bit too much about this (probably due to the thc intake last night). just want to throw this out there... and i hope you know my firm hatred of cruelty to animals. but, i was wondering what you all think of the peoples involved in the actual killing of these animals.
i don't know what country this is shot in, but am sure the jobs taken are more for survival rather than to advance themselves career-wise. what i'm getting at is do you feel anything for these people knowing that this is the only means of making a dollar. i wish there was some add'l footage showing some fashion designers perhaps who support this. maybe showing a direct connection from those killings to the 'doorstep' of a boutique.

i think a video connecting the killing of animals and consumption of meat would be damn great. i had a yogi tell me once that growing up in canada his class took a field trip to a meat processing plant. he described how a cow was converted from life to filet mignon. he never touched it after that.

I'm not going to watch this, don't need it for hating human race tho since I've been hating us for long. I've seen enough of our "greatness" through my entire life. Killing some certain people shouldn't be considered a crime. But that'd be a waste. I'd use people who is cruel to animals and to other people for experimental research. If we had used humans instead of animals, I'm sure many forms of cancer and other diseases would have a cure right now. I don't see the moral problem in experimenting with human scum.

Neuarmy, you should watch it simply for the enlightenment. Ignorance is bliss, but it isn't reality.
fate_reduxyea - you're totally right, but i don't think it would be "enlightening" it would be horrifying, i'm aware that it's going on, so i'm not ignorant to it, just don't need the visual to replay in my head for who knows how long...

I wouldn't have as big a problem with this as long as it was all done humanely. Let the things die a relatively painless and quick death, cows or these furry guys.
But swinging its skull into the ground from its hind legs, then slicing the legs and skinning these things alive, kicking and screaming...and they STILL survive and lay in a bloody heap, weezing and using their last reserves of energy to flop around aimlessly...that makes me hate the human race. For the pain human's can cause. It's incredible and sickening.

yea, i can't. that stuff really effects me. i remember watching faces of death or some shit, and this guy was blowtourching a live pig that had it's legs tied, and you could hear and see the skin cracking and the pig was squeeling and shit - i will never get that imagery out of my head - that's why i don't feel the need to watch this shit...ugh.

faces of death is pretty insane.
my favorite scene was these brazilians or something had a table with holes set up to fit monkey heads. they would then smash the heads and spoon the brains out and eat them.
not sure if this is was real or not but it looked real. pretty gross.
