The Boss is going to have his son "shadow" me this summer. He just bought his son a decked out laptop and now wants me to get any and all software that his kid will need for doing what I do.
I am just going to get him Adobe CS and MM Studio MX but I need to get the academic versions. I have not purchased academic software online before. Anyone have or know of a solid academic software provider online that I can trust with my bosses credit card?

do you think he's trying to phase you out or are you just a 'cheap' teaching tool for his son. seeing as how he's already paying you he guesses you can teach his son along the way.
haven't bought the academic version but with a little help from limewire you can easily find what you're looking for for free.

He won't phase me out,,, I have too much of a jump on him. His dad just wants to give him some exposure into "real-world" situations.

get him wasted one night, leave him in an alley and get one of your friends to punch him up real good. then steal that laptop, pawn it and buy something for yourself

I think you would get more replies if you set the topic to "The Boss's Daughter".
Maybe install Paint Shop Pro, a copy of Corel Draw 2, and Print Shop from Broderbund. And teach him how to draw with that liquid metal stuff from back in '99 (Painter 5 I think?).
