SOOOO DAMN MESSY!!!!!!
sometimes i wonder.. it takes more time to clean it up then to mess it all up..
why not leave it this way?
*grr and gnn!!
i think about that.
i am in the midst of a filing boycott and, boy-o-boy is it starting to get ugly.
The meesing part is passive, the cleaning part is an active choice. That's why it seems like that.
Fuck it. Leave it like that. Clean like 3 times a year. You'll save like 50 hours that you can exchange for drinking and sleeping time
Maybe u can get one of those organizer things from Staples. The guys on the Apprentice show invented it. It's this huge caddy that you pile all your things into and it spins around. They did a demo on the show and some guy piled his whole desk inside in of them and in just a minute or so his whole work space was all neat.
I make little jotters out of scrap paper for notes'n'stuff and my desk is now under a sea of them without hope for air.
I can't find my studio schedule because it's somewhere in the big pile of studio schedules that I can't be arsed to clear up.
I feel your pain Vb :\
Put your stapler in jell-o.
It's not gonna help you tidy up but it'll be fun!
that reminds me...the end of last year, before i went on christmas break, i cleaned up my desk just because it felt like a right thing to do.
i returned back to work, my desk area was spotless clean, not just organized, but clean.
for some reason, i couldn't focus and wasn't really productive...until i went on a rampage to make a mess again.
now i feel better in my cube.
word of advice: don't clean, just don't.
at least your office isn't filled with the sounds of Franz Ferdinand, Beck, Modest Mouse and the likes...
or maybe it is...I dunno, but I'm gonna scream...
when you make monkey love to a woman, you can wipe all the mess off the desk ooh la la
its no fun when its already neat
i haven't been keeping up on my job bags for about six months now. the invoices and quotes and proofs are all just scattered around my whole space and in the photolibrary filing cabinets and various other places that they simply do not belong.
but, you see, i'm not sure that i could find anything if i were to file my job bags.
once a month i just take a flame thrower to my office. anything that burns i must not have needed.
once it's going i make a quick pass with a fire extinguisher and presto chango... all clean.
Andy Bechtolsheim, co-founder of Sun Microsystems, arrived at work to find his car parked in his office. It had been outfitted by pranksters with a custom-made fish tank filled with real sharks. Upon finding the car, Bechtolsheim said, "This takes care of the problem of having to clean my messy office, I think I'll leave it like this."
the bigger the mess, the less stress
organize twice a year the most
That's nothing. I should post some shots of ours....
dude those iMacs are so old.
i like clean office space. it's a must. i also like clean apartment. when it's messy, i feel so disorganized and can't focus.
zen quality space is what i look for in my living surrounding.
