Hi people,
I am considering renting a PO Box, basically I am a just starting out a small Graphic/New Media Design company and I am currently running the business from home.
I am working on a survey to send out to business' in the area and, the survey will have a prepaid envelope to send it back to us, I don't want the client to know that we are trading from home, my question is this:
Would companies think negative about a company trading with a PO Box?
Thanks.

Unless they specifically check, how will they know you are 'just sending from home'?
I wouldn't object to sending to a PO Box, but then it wouldn't matter that much anyway.
Your significant hurdle is ensuring they're interested and fill it and return it in the first place!

Dodgey...
It's Watchdog stuff - lots of Cowboys tend to hide behind 'em.
I think people will respect you more if you are honest.
Plenty of desigers are freelance and have home/offices.
If I were looking for a designer, I wouldn't be contacting a PO Box!

yeah... your home address gives a more personal service too... po boxes are for con-artists or for parts of big companies where all the grunt work takes place.
If you're really bothered about putting 7 hawthorne Cresent, just stick Studio X infront of it.

Yeah agree with the others, PO box tells me they have something to hide/hide from.
Save the cash and give a personal touch, it would be a good start if you are new to the industry

Thanks for the tips, like the idea of putting studio before the address, anyway, just getting a bit corporate for a minute.

You can get boxes with a normal street address .. 'MailBoxes etc' and similar.
