Yep, I was just gonna say Boards of Canada... if you like M83 check out anything Boards have done, all their shit is ace.
Also check out My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless"... M83 straight up rips that album.

yes, it is close.

Loveless is where its at.

They're great. They are a sound that I would like to have a few aspects of in my band. For that reason it was refreshing when I first listened to them and kind of thought "That's it."
Except the only thing is, there are two songs on Before the Dawn Heals Us (new album) that are just gross. Can't remember the names but you'll know them when you hear them. In the middle of the album, chimes and nonsense.

ROCK THE CHIMES!

i agree with the above statement about my bloody valentine "loveless" - m83 is a 4th rate version of that timeless record. pick it up if you haven't.

that music is so automated it's sick

yeah i dont mind the new m83 album "dont save us from the flames" is rad. But i do agree that it does get lost in chimesville somewhere in the middle~(of nowhere).

purity can wear you down

i think some of "Death in Vegas" stuff from scorpio rising has a similar appeal with grittier impurities, making it a whole lot more enjoyable.

scorpio rising's a good album, but it's just a advert for production duties.
Whores ;)
