I get an small 1 pixel gap in the bottom right corner of any box I draw on the stage that has a border. is there any way to avoid this?
thanks

Did you resize it or modify it at all after drawing it? And/or did you add the stroke after modifying the shape?
May want to try grouping it or converting to an object?

it's being resized using actionscript to match the textwidth of a field on top of it. it currently is in a movieclip and grouping it doesn't seem to affect the gap

Is your MC transformed in some way? (remove transformation of the MC if it's on stage) Try moving the registration point of the MC to the lower right.

It's because corners in Flash always have round joins. something to do with quadratic vs. cubic bezier curves. To get a true square corner, you have to turn your stroke into a fill and get rid of the curved corners.

anyone think it'd be a good idea to have a sort of flash 'best practices' page set up somewhere? just a place where people can contribute things to might be obvious to others and not to most?
