Why do you want to know?
Are you looking for work?
Are you looking for someone to do your work for you?
Are you looking for someone to work with?
Or are you looking for an excuse to toss it off on the beach?

Just a couple I found on google:

http://www.neujuice.com/web-desi…
My best advice would be to get down there for a weekend before the summer, put yourself about a bit, talk to people, get a yellow pages.
Oh, and take some samples of your work!
You might be better off trying to get some bar-work. This might not be what you want to hear, but it's the ol' 'who you know' thing again

I used to live down there. Try the Wired Sussex directory. There's a lot of competition because of the Uni down there, but looks like it's easier to start up something on your own if you want to do that sort of thing. http://www.wiredsussex.com/

I'd go with boiconet on the 'start up something on your own' thing.
If you ever need something to convince you to do this:
'work experience', a bit of,
serve you well it shall young jedi

That's a pisser!
I can't understand why college/universities do this as part of the coursework, knowing how difficult it is for students to get placements.
If it is part of the course, I feel it should be the courses responsibility to sort this out. The course should be building briges with local companies.
You will have more clout as an organisation, rather than an individual student trying to do it off their own back.
You pay your tutor/lechturers wage - make them work for their money and you! - ask them to see if any thing can be done - as a group or 'collective' with him/her as director?

haha.. i guess its part of learning about the 'real world' you have to do everything off your own back learn how to put yourself out there.
